Description
BIG SLIPWARE PLATTER BY HELOÏSE BARIOL
It is in Normandy that Heloise Bariol creates her plates, pitchers, bowls and other dishes.
She uses earth that she turns, models or hollows. She then puts a slip on her creations which she decorates with metallic oxide juices.
At the end of the process, Héloïse places the parts intended for cooking in an electric oven heated to 1080 °.
For this slipware platter, the artist has modeled a piece of earth. This technique gives the object this irregular and singular aspect.
Each piece she makes is unique.
A plate becomes a painting, a pitcher a sculpture: the everyday object becomes art.
