Description
AMMONITE AND SILVER MOTHER-OF-PEARL RING
Pearly ammonites originate from the Bearpaw Formation, Upper Cretaceous formation of Alberta (Canada).
It is in this clay formation that are found these incredibly beautiful fossils.
The surface of this long extinct marine creature has transformed over millennia into a dazzling, iridescent gemstone, its colours constantly shifting with the light from vivid reds to emerald greens, to flickers of orange and gold, purples and brilliant blues.
The color of this ammonite and silver mother-of-pearl ring is the result of light interference produced by the lamellar structure of the mother-of-pearl.
Jewels presented at Galerie Kara are precious and delicate.
We recommend you some precautions so that they preserve their original beauty.
Avoid:
wearing them during sports activities
contact with cosmetic products
sleep wearing them
The stones, by dint of being worn, become slightly opaque.
Do not hesitate to clean them with dish soap and a small soft brush. The result is magical!
Store them in their original packaging in order to protect from light, heat and humidity.
