Description
GLAZED EARTHENWARE PITCHER BY HELOÏSE BARIOL
It is in her Norman workshop that Heloise Bariol creates her plates, pitchers, bowls and other dishes.
She uses the glazed earth that she turns, models or hollows. She then puts a slip on her creations which she decorats with metallic oxide juices.
At the end of the process, Héloïse places the parts intended for cooking in an electric oven heated to 1080 °.
For this glazed earthenware pitcher, the artist has turned a piece of earth.
Each piece she makes is unique.
A plate becomes a painting, a pitcher a sculpture: the everyday object becomes an art object.
