PORCELAIN LAMP, LINEN PAPER LAMPSHADE BY ERIC HIBELOT ET PAPIER A ETRES
Eric Hibelot makes his pieces entirely by hand in his Burgundy workshop.
He uses porcelain plates which he laminates so as to obtain plates with a thickness ranging from 2 to 5mm.
After having cut them out, they will be used to create his objects.
Then comes firing. After a drying phase depending on the size and thickness of the pieces, Eric fires them a first at 980 ° and then a second time at 1280 °.
He often sets his decorations in two stages: a part on raw earth and a second between the two firing (enamel for example).
Of this artisanal work result unique objects such as this superb porcelain lamp made in collaboration with Sophie Mouton-Perrat and Frédéric Guibrunet from Papier à Etres.
