Each brooch is a world in itself .
With her brooches, the designer Isabelle Mariana, a trained graphic designer, takes us into a textile world with multiple accents.
Her imagination is inspired by botany, the world of insects, but also popular art from around the world.
The fold, the embroidered stitch, the mesh, the brush stroke tells us about the silkiness of a petal, the contortions of a wild grass; it gives birth to a particular flower, a miniature garden or the outline of a tree leaf. The idea is never to be imitation but inspiration.
Each textile brooch is handcrafted from old and rare materials freely associated with other very recent industrial or artisanal materials.
